(Arborvitae Liners in Greenhouse beds)

The growing process involves a minimum of 7 – 8 years to produce a large, well developed arborvitae that will complement an established landscape. Our material is all propagated from rooted cuttings. The liners are grown in gallons for several months in greenhouses to develop solid roots and sturdy top growth.

Common Q&As:

Q: Do you grow in containers?

A: No, all of our material is field grown, and just prior to shipment the trees are dug and their root balls are wrapped in burlap.

Q: Does the burlap and twine have to be re-moved when planting?

A: When planting you can either remove the burlap entirely, or leave it in place because it is biodegradable in the soil. The plastic twine, however, must be cut away from the base of the trunk and upper part of the root ball because it will not deteriorate and could eventually girdle the tree
as it grows.

Q: Do you sell smaller sizes of arborvitae?

A: No, we do not sell liners or even gallon sizes. We specialize in the larger trees that produce an instant privacy barrier.
Our smallest size available is 4-5’ until spring of 2008. The bulk of our trees are
7-8 foot and 8-9 foot. We also have 6-7 footers and
a limited amount of the
9-10 footers.
